Certification Standards
The Singapore course and certification is based on the ASNT SNT-TC-1A certification program. As well, IRT is the only approved and accredited training organization in Asia…and we are the company in the world accredited to teach the L2 IR/T ISO program.
IRT is an Accredited Training Organization and Associate Member of BINDT. This means we have fulfilled all the requirements, and audits etc to be approved to teach this program. We provide training based on the BINDT PCN,ISO 18436, EN473, Norwegian, Australian and ASNT certification programs.

ABOUT
Mr. Newport is an internationally acclaimed expert within the infrared industry and is recognized worldwide as the number one educator, developer, promoter of infrared thermography. From his early entrance into the Infrared Thermography industry, he pioneered many of the techniques in infrared thermography and has been instrumental in developing many applications in current use today. With his educational and practical background in electrical systems, he performed his first electrical inspection in 1976!
Mr. Newport also works on many committees developing and establishing Standards and Procedures for Infrared Thermography. He had worked on the Thermal / Infrared Committeewith the American Society of Non- Destructive Testing (ASNT) and with the British Institute for Non-Destructive Testing(BINDT) to establish European and International Infrared Standards, and with the International StandardsOrganization (ISO) committeetowards establishing an international infrared standard. Standards for Level 1, Level II and Level III Thermography are now completed and have become the template for many other countriessince then.
